Title: Not All Roads Lead to Heaven
Topic: Not All Roads Lead To Heaven
Discussed by Dr. Robert Jeffress
with Pathway to Victory (www.ptv.org)

Part 1 of 4

Many other religions, including some within the Christian faith, believe that their way is the best way to Eternal Life. New guest, Dr. Robert Jeffress, points out that nearly 60% of Evangelical Christians even believe that there are other pathways to heaven other than through Jesus Christ. Listen in to each of the four segments today to learn more about this controversial faith issue which Dr. Jeffress wrote about in his new book, “Not All Roads Lead to Heaven”

Dr. Robert Jeffress is the Pastor at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He continually turns to John 14:6 concerning this topic: “Jesus said to them: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” Dr. Jeffress says, “It is astounding that Christians would be willing to waffle and waiver on this most foundational belief of Christianity”; a foundation that is based on the fact that man is a sinner and Jesus Christ is the Savior.

Dr. Jeffress explains why this is the most absolute answer to the age-old question of “how do you get to heaven”. For example, if Jesus wasn’t the only answer, there was no need for him to die such a horrible, unspeakable death. If belief in Jesus is not necessary in order to get to heaven, then why do we have such an incredible account of his life? If Jesus doesn’t matter, then would an unbeliever who died right now go to heaven?

Dr. Robert Jeffress says, “The bible says we are born into this world condemned already. Every one of us is a prisoner on death row, awaiting our final execution. But God, in his graciousness, has offered us a pardon…if we trust in Jesus as our Savior.”

Title: Part 2 of 4 - Not All Roads Lead to Heaven
Topic: Not All Roads Lead To Heaven
Discussed by Dr. Robert Jeffress
with Pathway to Victory (www.ptv.org)

The devil knows his days are numbered. He is doing all he can to destroy the Church. He wants us divided. He wants us to fight. He wants people to stop believing in Jesus and turn to Allah or Buddha or mother earth or nothing at all for their salvation. He and his demons are working overtime to ensure that they will have more souls in Hell than God does in Heaven.

[The devil] knows what God has said about his eternal destiny – that he will be cast into a lake of fire. But what he wants to do is see if he can overcome the ultimate will of God,” Dr. Robert Jeffress declares. “Satan is a liar, a deceiver, and a murder. Satan has one desire: to keep people from knowing the only way to God through Jesus Christ.

Dr. Jeffress believes wholeheartedly that an angel appeared to Muhammad and Joseph Smith (the founder of Mormonism) – and that angel was, in fact, Satan. The number one way Satan will use his powers to deceive is through false religions. Just look at 2 Corinthians 11 where Paul wrote about Satan being disguised as an angel of light. He is going to make himself look extremely appealing – like an angel of mercy and goodness.

Will people who practice other religions go to heaven? After all, most are good, honest people who give to charity, love their kids, and don’t cheat on their taxes. They deserve to go to heaven, right? Dr. Jeffress discusses this very question in his book, “Not All Roads Lead to Heaven”. “The Allah of the Quran is NOT the same as Jehovah God of the Bible,” he states. Listen in as he explains this further in this segment.

The same end-of-life result will occur for those who do not practice any religion. They can deny that God exists all day long. They can say there is no heaven or hell. They can laugh at the thought of angels and demons and Jesus and Satan. The fact still remains: John 14:6 concerning this topic: “Jesus said to them: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

Finally, Dr. Jeffress explains that children and infants and those who cannot possibly know what “being saved” means will be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. He outlines five reasons in his book, but reveals only two in this segment. Listen in!

Title: Part 3 of 4 - Not All Roads Lead to Heaven
Topic: Not All Roads Lead To Heaven
Discussed by Dr. Robert Jeffress
with Pathway to Victory (www.ptv.org)

Where will people who have never been told the truth spend Eternity? There are millions of people around the world who have never heard about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Yes, even here in the United States! It’s hard to imagine never hearing the story of Noah and the Ark or of the birth of Jesus and the road to Bethlehem.

Dr. Robert Jeffress says this is the “most frequently raised objection to the idea that faith in Christ is the only way to be saved”. After all, it seems so unfair that God would condemn them all to hell! However, “Whenever God sees a person who really wants to know Him, He will get the information to that person that they need [to know] about Jesus,” he believes. Listen in as Dr. Jeffress gives the “Reader’s Digest” version of the answer to this tough question.

Dr. Jeffress talks more about the existence of Hell in this segment, as well. Many people love the idea of Heaven and angels and streets of gold, but when it comes to Hell, they back off. Or, they believe hell is only reserved for the “really, really bad people”. “The fact is: Jesus talked about Hell more than he talked about Heaven!” Dr. Jeffress remind us. “It’s intellectually dishonest to say that you believe what Jesus said about Heaven, but you don’t believe what he said about Hell. You either believe all of it, or you believe none of it!” Jesus even warns us in Matthew 7:13-14 that more people will spend Eternity in Hell than in Heaven!

Listen in as Dr. Jeffress talks about the chasm which separates Heaven and Hell and how you can know for certain that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, as is discussed in his new book, “Not All Roads Lead to Heaven”.

Title: Part 4 of 4 - Not All Roads Lead to Heaven
Topic: Not All Roads Lead To Heaven
Discussed by Dr. Robert Jeffress
with Pathway to Victory (www.ptv.org)

How do we, as Christians, share about an exclusive Jesus in an inclusive world? Dr. Robert Jeffress says, “First, we have to be convinced in our own mind that Jesus was telling the truth. Then we will realize the most loving thing we can do is share that truth with others.

Dr. Jeffress admonishes: We must not be afraid to share the truth about Jesus to others simply because they believe differently than we do. They aren’t afraid to share their faith with us! “This is not a message of hate. It’s a message of hope. It was not meant to keep people out, but to invite them in,” Dr. Jeffress says lovingly. Listen in as he shares a personal story.

Also discussed in this final segment….
If a Christian, who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ, believes there are other ways to heaven, they have discounted what Jesus said and all the teachings of the New Testament. “I just don’t see how you can be a Christian and actually believe there are many ways to heaven! It’s not a matter of theological speculation; it is the heart of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about.

The Great Commission: If you could see the spiritual condition of your child, spouse, friend, or co-worker, what would you see? Would you be convicted to share with them about Jesus? We are all called share the Gospel with others – it’s our only mission on earth! “If we really understood the reality of hell and the length of Eternity, then we would do everything we could to rescue them,” Dr. Robert proclaims.

Dr. Robert Jeffress’s book, “Not All Roads Lead to Heaven”  is designed as a bible study and is perfect for small groups to review together. It is currently in CD and book form, and starting in April 2016, it will be available on DVD.
