The HERO Ordinance will affect everyone in Houston and the surrounding areas. However, only those who live within the City of Houston limits are allowed to vote on the issue. There is quite a bit of confusion about the HERO Ordinance. Some believe it will discriminate against nursing moms and the military, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. This is about the LGBTQ community wanting to impose their perverted lifestyle on the majority. Period.

One of the opponents of the HERO Ordinance is Dave Wilson. He says, “This is not about equal rights. This is about giving special rights to homosexuals. It tramples on the rights of all other people.” He goes on to explain that many people mistakenly believe that men must have a sex operation to become a female in order to use the women’s facilities. Many also mistakenly believe that a man must have a doctor’s note, giving him the right to use the women’s facilities because he believes he is a woman trapped in a man’s body. Neither are true. Any male of any age can enter a female locker room, restroom, or changing room at any time if they “feel like a woman that day”.

Furthermore, this ordinance affects every single place of business within the City of Houston. Every single business which offers goods and services to the general public must allow men to use the women’s restroom, changing room, or locker room. (NOTE: This does not apply to public or private schools or churches.)
