Title: How Do You Cook 670,000 Meals Since Sandy Hit The Shore?
Topic: Disaster Relief
Discussed by Fritz Wilson
with North American Mission Board (www.namb.net)
Part 1 of 2
Give our listeners a
visual - You arrived at New Jersey prior to landfall - What was the scene like
before landfall, during landfill, and what have you witnessed the past two or
three weeks?
Tell us more about your mobile kitchens! What kind of meals are prepared for the
individuals and families in crisis? frozen dinners? peanut butter and jelly
sandwiches?
The North American Mission Board exists to work with churches, associations and
state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact
North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church
planting. They accomplish that through Send North America, their national
strategy for mobilizing churches to plant churches and mobilizing church
planters and other missionaries to assist with those efforts.

Title: Part 2 of 2
Topic: Disaster Relief

When you send in a
mud-out crew to go and help that homeowner pull out all their damaged furniture,
to pull up all their carpet and padding, to pull down sheetrock, insulation etc
- Are there workers who go that are trained to help victims emotionally?
Since you all provide your meals free, how many semi-trucks full of food does it
take to take care of victims for a single day? Also very important, what do you
do with all of the trash that you generate?
Fritz Wilson with the North American Mission Board, discusses how Baptist Men
and Women from all across America respond when disasters strike. We have a link
above in our scrolling banner on ways to help and to donate.
