Title: What is Wrong with Social Justice?
Topic: Social Justice
Discussed by Elgin Hushbeck, Jr.
with Elgin Hushbeck, Jr. (www.Hushbeck.com)
Elgin Hushbeck is
the author of “What is Wrong with Social Justice?” The Bible is very
clear that we are to help the poor, those less fortunate than we are, the
fatherless, the children, the immigrant. But the Bible never teaches “equality”.
In fact, the word is not even in the Bible.
So, what does that mean? Are we not to give assistance to others in an effort to
curb their reliance on free hand-outs from the government and strangers? What is
right and what is wrong? What is fair and what is unfair?
Elgin explains the difference between what is “right” and what is “fair”. One is
objective and one is subjective. Social Justice is not about helping people come
out of poverty to become instantly rich. Social Justice is not like the parable
in the Bible, where the vineyard owner paid all the workers the same amount
whether they had worked all day or not.
Is true equality possible? Can we all make the same amount of money, live in the
same type of house, drive the same car? What is true Social Justice and how does
it differ from Biblical Justice?

Title: Social Justice Can't Deliver True Justice
Topic: Social Justice

Part 1 of 2
Social justice! Equal rights! Equal pay for everyone! We are bombarded on
social media, the nightly news, TV shows, and even movies about how racist,
bigoted, and hateful the world has become, especially Americans.
Our national debt increases every second. I don’t even know how much it is
anymore because it is constantly changing! We just don’t have enough money to
help everyone around the world, let alone our own country.
Elgin Hushbeck says that when it comes down to it, the numbers don’t lie. Those
who scream “Social Justice to all!” are less likely to give to charitable
organizations than Christians or even Conservatives. Liberals want the
government to be responsible for doling out the payments. They want the
government to fund their projects. They don’t want to work to make the money to
give away. They want the money given to them, so they can take home a big
paycheck, give a small percentage to some environmental, organic, animal-free,
gluten-free, energy-free organization, and still look awesome to all the other
liberals doing the same thing they are doing.
Justice is a good thing, right? After all, God demands justice. He is the
ultimate Judge. Social justice, however, is more about “feelings” as opposed to
right and wrong. Another difference is “Justice” applies to a specific person,
while “social justice” applies to a group of people. Liberals want everyone to
believe the same thing, not to have an opinion, because if you dare to argue or
disagree with them, you are labeled a bigot and racist. Man, those word-smiths
the left have on salary sure are smooth.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Social Justice Can't Deliver True Justice
Topic: Social Justice

Many people link “social
justice” with compassion for the poor. God is very specific about this in the
Bible, actually. We are told not to judge one another. We are told not to single
people out because they are poor or rich. White or black. Asian or Hispanic.
Tall or short. Male or female. God created man in His image. Period.
We must look past a person’s “life” and look at how they “live”. There should be
no need for this new-age way of thinking called “social justice”. Ferguson
should never have happened. Isn’t it amazing how the left is always screaming,
“You’re a racist! You’re a bigot! You’re a homophobe!” when they won’t allow
Christians to voice their opinion?
Elgin Hushbeck says that “equality” and “liberty” are mutually exclusive; you
cannot have one without the other. The more liberty you have, the less equality
you have. The more equality you have, the less liberty you have. In Colonial
times, a type of “social justice” system was attempted. Do you know the story?
Listen in as Elgin reminds us of the Pilgrims and how they almost starved to
death because of their “community service program”.
The rich today don’t just sit around and count their money. Most of the
wealthiest people, especially Conservatives, in the world have earned their
wealth. They put that money to good use, by giving to charitable organizations,
investing in business opportunities, and stimulating the economy. If the
government keeps over-taxing the wealthy, soon they won’t have enough to spread
around. It’s a lose-lose situation.
