NOTE: The topic of discussion today is based on a
comment that Eli Mystal of
The Nation made recently on The View.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
Is it common to have our US Constitution referred to as “trash” by the “woke crowd”?
What is meant by the term “slavers” and “colonists”? Were colonists really bad people?
Are enlightened, woke people who are alive today endowed with higher intellect, wisdom, and knowledge of correct justice?
Did the US Constitution, preceded by the Declaration of Independence, make astonishing claims that were truly unique at the time? Mark says: “The startling claims of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution set into motion this expectation of a society where all live equally socially and legally. It was quite amazing and we owe it a great debt of gratitude.”
Many in the woke crowd truly believe that the Founding Fathers “invented” slavery. But – wasn’t the United States one of the first countries in modern history to actually abolish slavery? Mark discusses some of the history of slavery…
Is our US Constitution in need of defending?
