Questions/Issues Discussed:

Know. Grow. Go. To-Do List:
1. Serve in His Ministry: Matthew 20:28

Until you let go of what you have, you can’t get what God has for you,” Pastor Fleming says. Don’t just sit and soak and sour. Instead, you should sit and soak and squeeze. If you’ve never taken a spiritual gift survey, click here.

2. Go on His mission

What is discipleship? Should we do more than just “go deeper” in God’s Word? Isn’t that enough? Bring them in to train them up to send them out.

This week, Pastor David Fleming uses Mark Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 to help us “Go Fishing” for Jesus.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Once you know him, you will grow in him. Once you grow, you will have the desire to “go fishing”.

What is the natural flow of the universe? Pastor Fleming says: “There is an intake. There is a diffusion. There is outflow.” This is Know. Grow. Go.

Pastor Fleming uses The Sea of Galilee flowing into the Dead Sea as an example…

Pastor Fleming encourages everyone, no matter where you go to church, to become involved in a small group (CFBC calls them Life Groups). It’s absolutely imperative to the Christian walk.

Day 4

The mission of Champion Forest Baptist Church is to help people make sense out of life through Christ-centered living. This involves three easy steps: Know. Grow. And Go.

This week, Pastor David Fleming uses Mark Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 to help us “Know Jesus”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

What is the fifth word Pastor Fleming wants you to remember? The first four: admit, repent, believe, and confess.

Why should we trust God completely?

If someone knocked on your door and said: “Your house is on fire! Come with me now!” What would you do? Would you just stand there? Would you believe them even if you didn’t see the flames or smell the smoke?

There is a difference between “believing” and “seeing”.

There is a difference between “believing” and “knowing”.

Day 3

The mission of Champion Forest Baptist Church is to help people make sense out of life through Christ-centered living. This involves three easy steps: Know. Grow. And Go.

This week, Pastor David Fleming uses Mark Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 to help us “Know Jesus”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

The world asks: How do you know that Jesus died and rose again? How can you be “born again”? They don’t understand how either is possible. Pastor Fleming uses John 3, the story of Nicodemus, to explain. He also offers five words to remember:

1. Admit: But but but the road is narrow! “If you want to get to heaven, religion, rules, and regulations won’t get you there,” Pastor Fleming says.

2. Repent: Turn around.

Get off the freeway at the next exit and take a U-turn back to Jesus.

3. Believe: John 3:16 God sent His son so you wouldn’t go to hell. Period.

4. Confess: Romans 10:9-10 When God says come, you come!

Don’t questions Him. Just go.

Tune in tomorrow to hear more!

This week, Pastor David Fleming uses Mark Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 to help us “Know Jesus”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Two special guests were in the congregation during Pastor Fleming’s sermon. One guest was Texas Congressman Kevin Brady, who Pastor Fleming had never met. The other, Congressman Mark Walker from North Carolina, is a good friend of Pastor Fleming.

How well do you know Jesus? How can you know someone who lived over 2,000 years ago?

Fact: There is more written evidence of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection than any other event in history.

This week, Pastor David Fleming uses Mark Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 to help us “Know Jesus”.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Mark 1:16-17 16Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 17And Jesus said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.'”

What could a carpenter teach fishermen about fishing?

Pastor Fleming reminds us: “No matter how old you are or what had (or hadn’t) done, you had a radical transformation when you came to Christ.” Your story is important. Your story is amazing. Your story matters. Your story can change lives.

Pastor Fleming also says: “Knowing God is not an optional part of the Christian life; Knowing God IS the Christian life.” He goes on to say: “Christianity is not about religion. Christianity is about relationships.” Love this!
