God granted Satan only one authority when he was cast from Heaven: authority over this world. Jesus refers to Satan as a thief in John 10:10. But, as Christians, WE have the authority over Satan, the thief of this world.

Larry Burkett uses Ephesians 6:12-13 as encouragement in today’s devotion…This is a perfect Scripture to memorize to tell Satan every time he attempts to distract us from doing God’s work.

You probably have never outright refused to do something God has called you to do. However, have you ever told him “not yet – I’m not ready”? This is still disobedience!

Larry also reminds us of the Parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14:16-24. The men were too busy to dine with Jesus. Are you too busy to do his work?
