Title: Don't Take Their Money: The War on Academic Freedom
Topic: The War on Academic Freedom
Discussed by Dr. Thomas Lindsay
with Texas Public Policy Foundation (www.TexasPolicy.com)
Part 1 of 2
If you have listened
to any type of news program, especially from the MSM, you have probably heard of
the Koch brothers and how “baaaaaad” they are. And if you’ve been listening to
the What’s UP Radio Program for any length of time, you know how “baaaaaad” the
MSM is!
The Koch brothers just happen to lean on the Conservative side, so of course the
“tolerant left” and liberal colleges are now chasing after them and their money.
You’d think that desperate colleges and universities that are broke would want
their money! Besides, isn’t diversity on college campuses what they are striving
for? Oh, I forgot the Koch brothers offer the wrong kind
of diversity. Silly me.
Dr. Thomas Lindsay is the Director of the Center for Higher Education at the
Texas Public Policy Foundation. Listen in as Dr. Lindsay explains how colleges
and universities are becoming more and more left-minded, squashing those with an
actual brain who think for themselves and wish to express their opinion. This is
why we have mindless robots and low-information voters.

Title: Part 2 of 2 - Don't Take Their Money: The War on Academic Freedom
Topic: The War on Academic Freedom

Should Conservatives stop
giving their money to liberal-minded colleges and universities? Those types of
schools don’t seem to want their money anyway, so why bother?
Within the next decade, Dr. Lindsay fears many liberal arts colleges will be
bankrupt. One-third of liberal arts colleges are financially strapped. They
cannot raise tuition because the rates are already sky-high. They cannot borrow
any more money because they can’t pay back what they’ve already borrowed.
Dr. Thomas Lindsay says, in his opinion, students want to learn more about
civics. They want to study the Constitution. They want to learn more about the
government. Why not allow rich, Conservatives to help fund these colleges – or
even establish new ones?
This isn’t about being left or right. This is about educating the next
generation. This is about bringing our country back to the core values of the
history of the United States. Dr. Lindsay poses this question: “Without the
knowledge of the principles of their own form of government, how can they
protect it?”
I know tradition is important, especially in Texas. But, it’s not all about
“your football team” and giving money to support “your school”. Does the college
your child want to attend require every student – regardless of major – to take
an entire course on the moral foundation of America? If that college or
university does not require this, you should throw their mailer and application
into the fire pit.
