Title: Wolves in Sheep's Clothing
Topic: Scam Artists
Discussed by John Lawrence Allen

Part 1 of 2
Matthew 7:15: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
We all want to see and believe the best in people, especially of people in
church. Investment scammers are not always door-to-door salesmen or robo-callers
who have a script in front of them. Sometimes, they are sitting next to you in
church, joining your Bible Study group, having BBQ’s in their backyard. They are
smooth talkers to the extreme.
Listen in as John gives suggestions on how to spot a wolf among you.

Christians and church-goers are
oftentimes easy targets for scam artists. Author and investment fraud expert,
John Lawrence Allen, says always check out a company or charity before agreeing
to invest in their effort or cause. A good resource for fact-checking is
www.finra.org.
If your “new friend” pressures you to give a check right away or says there are
“no risks”, John says: “Run away quickly!” These are sure signs that the company
is not legit or they already expect to lose money. John also advises people to
get everything in writing.
