Why didn't the mainstream media highlight these factors during the campaign? Will there be dire fiscal consequences in 2013? What about administrative consequences?

Did the NTU take the lead in preparing a letter to Capitol Hill urging congress to respect the current $109 billion level of scheduled spending reductions?
