NBC edited the words “under God, indivisible” from a special Pledge of Allegiance video it aired over the weekend during its coverage of the U.S. Open. About three hours into the broadcast, NBC responded to an apparent inundation of criticism from viewers when announcer Dan Hicks cut in to offer a ‘weak’ corporate apology. Tony Perkins asks, “Why were the words omitted and who made the decision?” What should NBC do now? Tony has some suggestions. Listen in.
