Title: Reach Out and Help
Topic: Coronavirus
Discussed by Command Sgt. Major Tom Satterly
with All Secure Foundation (www.allsecurefoundation.org)
Millions of people are struggling right now. Single parents. Couples. Senior adults. Those with little kids and empty nesters. How can we help them? How can we help YOU?
Command Sgt. Major Tom Satterly and his wife Jen co-founded All Secure Foundation to help Veterans and their families heal from the trauma of war. Their resources are a great tool to help others in tough situations, like the lockdown, too.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
How can we – who still have a job – help those who don’t?
Why is it important to assess the damage done first?
What steps should be taken before people emerge from the lockdown? Are these good things to do every day? Tom says to remember this: “We got there before. We can get there again.”
What are some other helpful ways we can assist those in need right now? Are there “good” questions and “bad” questions to ask someone who is struggling?

Title: Reach Out and Help
Topic: Coronavirus
Discussed by Jen Satterly
with All Secure Foundation (www.allsecurefoundation.org)
Jen Satterly continues to discuss why it is so important for people
to reach and get help. Jen, Tom’s wife, was fully embedded with
Navy Seals and Green Berets in realistic training missions around the country.
She was a filmmaker and photographer for 15 years, spending the last three years
of her career as co-founder and Director of Film and Photography for an elite
Special Operations training company.
Questions/Issues Discussed:
How does ASF help people who are at the end of their rope?
How did the healing process begin for Jen and Tom?
Do people just want someone to listen to their story? Do they just want someone
to care?
How did Jen’s training missions prepare her to help Tom?
Jen Satterly reminds us that we are not alone. Reach out to someone – anyone –
and get help. Reach out to two people! They CAN help you! She also points out
that this is a temporary situation. Things WILL get better.
