Title: Will My Kids Have Friends if we Homeschool? YES!
Topic: Homeschooling
Discussed by Lyndsay Lambert
with Texas Homeschool Coalition (www.thsc.org)

If you have chosen to homeschool your children this year, there is probably one question heavy on your mind: Will my kids still have friends and social activities?

The answer is YES!

Contrary to popular opinions, most homeschoolers are just as busy (if not busier!) than pubic school families! There are many homeschool groups and co-ops to choose from. Click here  for a list of homeschool groups in your area.

Find one that is a good fit for your family and get plugged in. You and your children will love it!

Title: Homeschooling: Social Interaction
Topic: Homeschooling

Day 4

The Coronavirus has thrown everyone a loop – especially parents of school-age children and teens. Many parents are contemplating homeschooling for the 2020-2021 school year. Are you one of them? Do you have a million questions?

Every day this week, Stephanie Lambert will be answering some of the most commonly asked questions regarding homeschooling. You can find more about Stephanie and the Texas Home School Coalition here.

Questions/Issues Discussed:

Do parents need to have the whole homeschool thing completely figured out before they start?

The main argument people have against homeschooling is social interaction. But when you think about it, how much social interaction do kids at public school have each day, especially now that the Coronavirus is going to social distance the kids?

Do homeschool students actually have MORE social interaction?
