Title: The Good. The Bad. And the Ugly of “Conservative” Slates.
Topic: Elections
Discussed by Court Koenning
with Court Koenning for District Clerk
Years and years ago, if the Houston Chronicle endorsed a candidate, Conservative Republicans knew better than to vote for that person because it was a sure bet that candidate was not a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, and less government believer.
Now, it seems like anybody and everybody can throw together a slate and call it “Conservative”. This is a perfect example of America’s wonderful freedom of speech given to all. However, it is very easy to be tricked into believing lies spread by “Conservative” groups, especially ones that have been around for as long as the
LINK Letter. How do you know what and who to believe?

Title: Pay Them and They Will Come
Topic: Elections
Discussed by Court Koenning
with Court Koenning for District Clerk
Years ago, a major “Get Out The Vote Effort” was launched with Court Koenning’s help. Many thought the plan would fail and many thought we were crazy.
When it comes down to the practical details, many Republicans do not want to part with their money just to register a few voters. Court and other’s effort was not rewarded with just a few hundred new voters. Listen in to hear how many were added.

Title: Did it Work?
Topic: Elections
Discussed by Court Koenning
with Court Koenning for District Clerk
At first, Court was skeptical of the plan to hire anyone, especially college kids, to go door-to-door registering voters during the hot summer months in Texas.
After a few bumps in the road, we came up with a pretty good plan. However, it worked so well that the White House took notice!

Title: Show Them the Money!
Topic: Elections
Discussed by Court Koenning
with Court Koenning for District Clerk
No one is going to agree with a candidate, politician, or even a radio talk show host 100% of the time. Republicans have long been attacking each other concerning the efforts to enroll more voters. It has just gotten worse during the past few election cycles.
When it comes down to it, Court says our system works. Democrats hire workers and give bonuses for registering voters. We shouldn’t criticize for them for this! We should be doing it as well but only better!
