Title: ROSH HASHANAH
Topic: Jewish Holidays
Discussed by Caren Panzer
with Israel's Consulate Office in Houston (Houston Embassy)

A Best of Segment.....

Join Terry Lowry and guest Karen Panzer as they discuss Rosh Hashanah. In Jewish custom, Rosh Hashanah is a time to begin introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the changes to make in the New Year. What are some of the traditions of Rosh Hashanah? Is it similar to the American midnight drinking bash and daytime football games?

Title: THE VIOLENCE AGAINST INNOCENT CIVILIANS IN ISRAEL NEEDS TO STOP!
Topic: Israel
Discussed by Caren Panzer
with Israel's Consulate Office in Houston (Houston Embassy)

With heavy heart, Caron Panzer explains the unbearable situation Israeli civilians are now living. The ongoing attacks by terrorist organizations, which are part of the Palestinian government headed by the Hamas, has been relentless. It is important to understand that the Israeli government has shown restraint in the last two months. Israel left the Gaza strip in order to give the Palestinians the possibility to create a normal life and not to attack Israel. The violence against innocent civilians in Israel needs to stop.
