Imagine going to your child’s high school graduation and hearing the commencement speaker tell your child and hundreds of others: “You are not special”. What?!?!?

That is exactly what David McCullough did when he addressed the graduating students at a high school outside of Boston. Little did he know that someone would video tape the speech, put that video on YouTube, and would result in TV appearances, radio guest spots, and a new book just two years later!

There are obvious difference between graduates of today and graduates from 20 years ago. David McCullough, Jr. discusses some of the “not-so-obvious” differences and what we, as a society, must commit to doing to improve their over-all test scores and willingness to work.
