Title: Costly Toll on the Soul
Topic: Sexual Purity

Part 1 of 3

The issue of sex is not an easy topic to discuss. But it is, none the less, a very important topic that must be addressed, especially to teens and college-aged Christians.

According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, 80 percent of unmarried Evangelicals between 18 and 29 have engaged in sex before marriage. No one disputes the temptation is out there. But, how can we help our teens and college kids to resist that temptation?

Many young Evangelicals are trying to lower the sexual moral code standard to fit their own desires. Sexual purity is not an old-fashioned notion. It is a Biblical command. When a pastor preachers a sermon on sexual purity, you can hear a pin drop in the sanctuary. Everyone knows that being sexual immoral is a sin, but they just don’t want to hear about it.

Sexual immorality does not only effect the young, unmarried teens and 20-somethings. Men and women who have been married for 10, 20, 30, 40 years can still struggle with sexual sins. But God has an answer and there is help out there!
