Title: Israel offers a hand to Japan. Field Hospital on its way
Topic: Israel
Discussed by Shahar Zavi
with IsraAid (www.IsraAid.org.il)
Israel is sending a small team
to Japan to assess ways Israel can assist. IsraAid is a non-profit umbrella
group that gathers Israeli humanitarian and relief workers from 17 different
organizations to lend medical aid, search and rescue assistance, and disaster
relief at some of the world’s biggest disaster sites, such as last year’s
earthquake in Haiti. Israel’s fast response, with a fully equipped and staff
field hospital, enable injured Haitians to be treated in the first operational
field hospital after the quake ravaged their county. More information can be
found at www.IsraAid.org.il.
